During our Kyoto trip, we rented a car and went to "Miho Museum", a real-world Shangri-la.
The weather was nice in early fall. After buying the tickets, we went into a tunnel and spent some time strolling in the dark. When we finally saw the light and got out of the tunnel, entrance of the museum was right in front of us.
Designed by architect Ieoh Ming Pei, geometric elements such as triangles can be found everywhere inside the building.
The simple structure of the museum showcases the mountain scenery, and made the view extra appealing as sunlight and season change throughout the year.
